I need a hands-on partner who can take me from concept to a working prototype of a Quantum Computing + IoT framework that tackles Urban Heat Islands end-to-end: we will monitor conditions continuously and then act on the insights to mitigate them in real time. Scope and context • Data will flow in from a dense mesh of ground sensors capturing temperature, humidity, CO₂ and overall air-quality metrics every few seconds. Satellite or weather-station feeds could be folded in later, yet the first milestone is rock-solid performance with the on-site sensors. • On the quantum side, I want algorithms that can handle the heavy analytics load—predictive hot-spot mapping, optimisation of cooling interventions, maybe even near-real-time scheduling of adaptive shading or misting systems. Qiskit, Cirq or similar frameworks are fine as long as we can run on today’s cloud-accessible quantum back-ends and shift to simulators when hardware queues are long. • All components must communicate seamlessly: low-power IoT devices, an edge gateway, a secure message broker (MQTT or similar) and a cloud layer where the quantum jobs are orchestrated. Deliverables 1. Architecture diagram and technical narrative explaining sensor network, edge layer and quantum workflow. 2. Firmware or lightweight container image for the sensor nodes that streams the four required metrics. 3. Cloud or hybrid stack that ingests the data, dispatches quantum jobs and returns actionable outputs. 4. Demo script (CLI or dashboard) showing live metrics, model predictions and suggested mitigation actions. 5. Repository with documented, reproducible code plus a short write-up of test results on real or emulated hardware. Acceptance criteria • End-to-end latency from sensor reading to mitigation recommendation ≤ 2 minutes under lab conditions. • Quantum module must outperform a classical baseline (even if marginally) on predictive accuracy or optimisation speed. • All code runs with clear setup instructions on Ubuntu 22.04 and is free of proprietary lock-ins.
