Hi, Power BI over a mix of Excel files and database connections is exactly the work I do. Extraction and cleaning happen in Power Query as documented steps rather than manual fixes, so the next refresh repeats them automatically instead of you needing the cleanup redone. On the database connection, the first thing I check is whether it supports query folding. Where it does, filtering runs on the server rather than pulling whole tables into the model. That is the difference between a report that refreshes in seconds and one that starts timing out as the data grows. The model itself: a star schema with a proper date table, and measures written in DAX rather than calculated columns. Calculated columns bloat the file and break the moment someone slices a different way. This is the part that decides whether the dashboard still works at ten times the data. Dashboards built to be read in order, headline number first, then breakdown, then detail via drill-through, rather than twenty visuals competing on one page. Supply chain is in your skills list.
