Genetics Literature Review Specialist

We are looking for an experienced life-science professional / scientific researcher to take responsibility for developing and refining the literature review section of a research project in the field of molecular biology and modern genetics. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic or professional background in molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology, genomics, or a closely related life-science discipline, with demonstrated experience analysing and synthesising scientific literature. Scope of Work The selected researcher will be responsible for: Reviewing relevant peer-reviewed scientific literature and research publications. Developing a clear, logical, and academically appropriate literature review. Analysing and explaining molecular-biology techniques, genetic methodologies, and terminology relevant to the research topic. Synthesising findings from multiple studies rather than simply summarising individual papers. Identifying important research findings, methodological differences, limitations, and gaps in the existing literature. Ensuring that technical explanations are scientifically accurate and appropriately referenced. Organising the literature review into a coherent structure with appropriate headings and logical progression. Revising the work based on detailed feedback and incorporating requested changes accurately. Maintaining appropriate academic/scientific writing standards and consistent citation practices. Required Expertise You should be comfortable working with modern genetics and molecular-biology concepts and terminology, potentially including areas such as: Molecular genetics Genomics and sequencing Gene expression and regulation PCR/qPCR and related molecular techniques DNA/RNA analysis Genetic variation and mutations Molecular cloning and recombinant DNA techniques Next-generation sequencing (NGS) CRISPR/gene-editing technologies Bioinformatics concepts Experimental methodologies and interpretation of scientific results You do not need expertise in every technique listed above, but you should have a strong understanding of molecular biology and the ability to critically analyse scientific literature in the relevant research area.
