Your day will revolve around three core activities: monitoring each order’s progress in our order-management software, updating customers with clear status reports, and jumping in to resolve any hiccups by working directly with our suppliers and carriers. Because we operate in a fast-moving retail environment, solid customer-service instincts and sharp attention to detail are critical. You should already be comfortable inside modern order-tracking platforms—if you have experience with systems like ShipStation, TradeGecko, or similar tools, you’ll ramp up quickly. Accuracy matters more than volume here; every update you log must match the facts in the system, and every issue you flag should be accompanied by a proposed solution and an estimated turnaround time. Typical flow: • Start the day reviewing yesterday’s open orders, confirm carrier scans, and email concise status notes to customers who are waiting. • Throughout the day, receive alerts on delays or back-orders, contact the relevant supplier to realign ship dates, and immediately notify the customer with clear next steps. • End of day, submit a brief summary report highlighting resolved issues, pending items, and any supplier escalations. Success will be measured by on-time delivery rate, customer satisfaction feedback, and the accuracy of order data you maintain in the system.
