Advanced Custom Fields Integration with The Events Calendar Community Events Form

Please only bid on this project if you know what you are doing, and have experience creating and writing Wordpress Functions. No small time hustlers or Wordpress cowboys please. I have a feature on my site where my users can create an event using The Events Calendar – Community Events plugin. I would like to add a custom field to this form that will display an image gallery where users can upload their images. I have chosen Advanced Custom Fields for this, as I use it for other parts of the site and it has the capability I'm looking for. I have tried integrating this already, and I managed to get the image gallery upload field displaying on the form. The issue I am having is that the images are not being attached to the new event when I submit a new event. I suspect the error is happening due to lack of a Wordpress function that hooks into the Event Submission. I am editing my event submission form via a template override. Again, please only apply if you're proficient with PHP, Wordpress Functions and confident you know what you are doing. The Events Calendar is quite a tricky plugin to modify in this way, hence why I am outsourcing this.
