This proposal is to convert your VC++ 6.0 projects into VC++ 17.0 (current with VS 2022). VC++ 6.0 is 24 years old. It's ancient, and it is holding you back and perhaps making it harder to find quality people to maintain the dinosaur projects. I have done dozens of conversions from VC6 up to the newest version (whatever was newest at the time -- I've been doing this since VC++ 2010 was newest). Once your projects are converted to the newest VC++, you will enjoy many benefits of the improved language standard support, enormously improved optimizer, and the ability to find programmers who are more talented and prefer to use the newer compilers.
