Project Description:
We are seeking the expertise of a skilled software developer to create a software utility for generating update patches for our games.
Key Features required:
Unicode Encoding: The software should use Unicode encoding to recognize, read, and write any language text irrespective of the system language environment.
Patch Generation: It should be able to generate patches (as executable .exe files) based on two or more versions of the game, enabling users to upgrade their current version to the latest one.
Registry Manipulation: The software should be capable of manipulating the Windows Registry, enabling the .exe file to automatically locate the game's installation directory and initiate the upgrade process.
Installer Interface: The .exe file should have a user-friendly installer interface akin to standard installation programs.
Multilingual Support: The software should support multiple languages to cater to a global user base.
Candidates are required to have:
Proficiency in software development and knowledge of Unicode encoding.
Prior experience in creating software patch/updater systems.
Understanding of Windows Registry and installation processes.
Familiarity with multilingual software development.
Proven ability to deliver projects within agreed timescales.
