The amount of supplied power will be based on input sensor values that the system receives. In the system, there are three electricity generators including a primary power generator G0 and two auxiliary smaller generators G1 and G2 to provide power. Generator G0 is always ON in a normal operating condition, whereas G1 and G2 are ON only when extra powers are needed. The power supply system uses two sensors, sensor 1 (S1) and sensor 2 (S2), to detect whether extra power is needed. The sensors monitor two load points in the consumer network. A microcontroller is utilised to read and process the sensors’ values and control the generators accordingly. A sensor, either S1 or S2, provides a feedback of the power consumption level at a corresponding load point to the microcontroller. Each sensor has 4-bit wide, and the sensor value is represented in percentage (0% to 100% of power consumption). The sensor values are used to control the auxiliary power generators, G1 and G2, which are only ON when the measured power consumptions are above certain thresholds. You will design this system using KL25Z as the microcontroller to control the above operation. Write a C program that allows a KL25Z to read the values from all sensors and to control the status (ON/OFF) of all generators. Initially G1 and G2 are OFF when the reading values are low. The generator G1 will be turned ON when the value of measured power consumption from S1 is over 35%. The generator G2 is ON when S2’s value is over 50%. Note that S1 and S2 are independent and their values could be changed (increased and decreased independently) over the time. If the measured power consumptions are very high, i.e. the values of S1 and S2 are both over 85%, the power supply system will likely be overloaded, therefore all generators should be isolated from the consumer network to if both sensor values are still above 85% after 5 seconds. The microcontroller should then switch G0, G1 and G2 OFF to isolate all generators from the network and give a warning. The map of the inputs and outputs is: - Use eight “D” pins for S1 and S2 inputs (4 each) - Red LED represents for G0 - Green LED represents for G1 - Blue LED represents for G2 - An LED is ON continuously when a Generator is ON and vice versa. If two or three Generators are ON, you need to blink the corresponding LEDs alternatively (each LED can blink in 1 second).
