I’m hosting a party for 15 people and want the warm, authentic taste of Ethiopia at the centre of the evening. I’m looking for a chef who can create a balanced spread of both meat-based and vegetarian favourites—think tender doro wat alongside flavour-packed shiro or atkilt—that we can pass around family-style. There are no specific dietary restrictions to worry about, so you have the freedom to focus on flavour and tradition rather than substitutions. What I need from you: • A proposed menu that blends classic meat dishes with vibrant vegetarian options, paired with plenty of fresh injera. • Ingredient sourcing and advance prep (I can reimburse or provide a shopping budget once we finalise the menu). • On-site cooking or drop-off with clear reheating/serving instructions—whichever you recommend for best flavour and presentation. • Family-style platters arranged so guests can help themselves easily. Timing: the event is scheduled for early evening two weekends from now, so we’ll confirm the final menu and logistics at least a week in advance. If you have experience catering Ethiopian cuisine and can bring the aromatic berbere and perfectly fermented injera that make these dishes shine, I’d love to hear your ideas and see photos of past work.
