I need two formal documents— a full-fledged Software Requirements Specification and a matching Functional Design Specification— for a contractor management application whose core aim is airtight document and contract management. Please write both documents to a detailed, engineering-ready standard: every functional requirement, data element, interface, user role, workflow, constraint, and non-functional expectation should be explicit. Where it clarifies intent, include use-case narratives, data models, sequence or activity diagrams, and any other artefacts that would let a development team move straight into architecture and build. The focus modules are: • Document capture, versioning, approval trails • Contract lifecycle management, including renewals and audit history • Role-based access, notifications, and compliance checkpoints I will judge responses primarily on the strength of your project proposal, so lay out your approach, outline, sample templates, and any standards (IEEE 830, UML 2.x, BPMN, etc.) you plan to follow. Past work is welcome if it helps illustrate quality, but a clear plan for my project is essential. Deliverables (both in editable formats): 1. Complete SRS (with revision control) 2. Companion FDS aligned to the SRS, fully traceable Acceptance is based on internal peer review: every requirement must map cleanly to a functional element, and every function must meet the stated business goal without gaps or ambiguities.
