You are required to research and report on the efficiency and effectiveness of the OHS Information System in a Queensland Mining workplace. You need to research the different sources of OHSIS, assess them, and make recommendations for improvements.

Consultative committees, safety reps, managers, inspectors, insurers) and the approaches to communication considering uses of the communications and the need to accommodate diversity and literacy needs. For example, such forms of communication may be may be via newsletters, electronic messaging, management reports, ohs committee reports etc.
? Analysis?re trends and actions for risk/accident prevention now and in the future.
? Current system for OHSIS review and system enhancement (continuous improvement).
? Current legislative compliance re notifiable incidents and reporting timeframes.
? Examples of industry best practice benchmarks, and Australian Standards for OHSIS.
? Recommendations regarding improvement addressing the current state of the information system in regards to legal, best practice and organisational requirements.
A detailed description of an OHSIS is needed (in point form), its uses, judgements and comments on its efficiency and efficacy (with examples to prove your observations), its facilitation of legislative compliance as well as management decision making and then any enhancements to make the system even better for internal and external purposes.
