I need an experienced CFD specialist to build a robust simulation that captures the pressure distribution along the entire length of a pipe with complex geometry. The working fluid is water, and I will supply the CAD of the pipe as soon as the project begins. For this case the flow will be defined through an imposed outlet pressure coupled with a target flow-rate; everything upstream must adjust accordingly, so the model has to converge cleanly under those boundary conditions. You are free to use ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, CFX, or an equivalent solver, but please outline your intended turbulence model and mesh strategy up front so we can agree on accuracy versus runtime. Transient effects are not expected to dominate, but if you feel a steady-state assumption is insufficient, let me know early. Deliverables • Validated CFD setup file(s) with all boundary conditions applied • High-resolution pressure contour plots and centre-line pressure profile from inlet to outlet • Brief report (PDF) summarising assumptions, mesh statistics, residual history, and key findings, including any recommendations for reducing pressure loss I will run a quick cross-check on the conservation of mass and overall pressure drop, so please ensure the simulation balances within reasonable numerical limits before submission.
