hello, the part that decides whether this looks like a documentary or like phone footage is not the camera, it is permission and light inside the still house. distilleries are working sites full of alcohol vapour, so most areas are ATEX zones where ordinary camera gear is not allowed to be switched on, and every distillery has its own filming policy, some warm, some flatly no. that has to be cleared in writing per site before a single tour is booked, because turning up with a camera and being turned away at the door is how these shoots collapse. the ones that say yes often restrict you to certain rooms, which shapes what the film can even show. the second thing is that the interior is dim and steam filled and the landscape outside is bright and often wet, so the look lives in handling that range, fast lenses inside, protecting highlights outside, and grading the two worlds to feel like one film. i should be straight about one thing. i am an editor and can shape the documentary, but the filming across Scotland has to be a shooter physically there, so if you need one person to both travel and film, that is not me. which distilleries, and is filming access already agreed with any of them? is there a presenter on camera, or is it narration over visuals? have a nice day.

Hi, I’d be excited to produce your documentary-style whisky vlog, capturing in-depth distillery tours alongside the character and beauty of Scotland’s landscapes. I can handle filming, cinematic storytelling, interviews/B-roll, sound, and editing to create a polished, engaging final documentary.
