I need the ESP32 AAP / AAD modules on my bench to exchange CAN-Bus frames in real time, interpret the hexadecimal payload exactly, and act on it. The goal is rock-solid, low-latency control: existing equipment sends commands, the ESP32 must parse those hex words, understand the decimal meaning behind each bitfield, and instantly publish its own status frames back on the bus. All the original HEX files and CAN command tables are already in hand, together with a CAN tracer that shows traffic live. What is missing is the firmware that ties everything together, integrates those files, and implements reliable monitoring and status reporting over CAN. Deliverables • Fully documented ESP-IDF (or Arduino-ESP32 if you prefer) source code that: – Imports my supplied HEX files / calibration tables. – Decodes incoming CAN frames, translating each to its decimal parameters. – Updates internal variables, then transmits the required status frames. • A concise table mapping every CAN ID and byte offset to its decoded value, so I can cross-check with the tracer. • Build instructions plus a short video or log file showing the firmware running on hardware and passing live traffic tests. Acceptance criteria The firmware must run continuously for 8 hours without missed frames, echo every monitored parameter within 20 ms, and print any out-of-range value to the serial console for troubleshooting. Tooling notes: I already have an ESP32-CAN dev board, a laptop with ESP-IDF 5.x, and a Peak-PCAN tracer; please keep your solution compatible.

Hi, We can handle this project end-to-end using ESP-IDF 5.x and your existing ESP32-CAN hardware. Our scope can include: - CAN frame reception and low-latency processing - Exact HEX/bitfield decoding and decimal parameter mapping - CAN ID / byte-offset documentation table - Internal state update and required status-frame transmission - Out-of-range monitoring and serial diagnostics - Integration with your existing calibration/HEX tables - PCAN-based validation and continuous traffic testing - Build instructions and test evidence We would first review your CAN command table, HEX/calibration files, and sample PCAN traces to confirm frame structure and timing requirements. Because the acceptance criteria include 8-hour stability and sub-20 ms response, this requires proper bench validation rather than only writing code. Magen Daniel Systems LLP specializes in embedded firmware, PCB systems, IoT devices, communication protocols, and prototype development. Please share the CAN database/table, ESP32-CAN board model, and sample trace so we can confirm the exact scope and schedule.

I can start right now I have checked the details. I see you need the ESP32 AAP / AAD firmware to parse hex payloads, unpack bitfields to decimal parameters, and publish status frames back on the bus under 20 ms, using ESP-IDF 5.x alongside your Peak-PCAN setup and hardware. I will deliver the documented source code, the CAN ID/byte offset mapping table, and the validation log. I have one question: are you using the TWAI driver natively in ESP-IDF 5.x for the CAN interface, or an external SPI controller like the MCP2515? lets do it

Hi, I can develop the ESP32 CAN firmware to communicate with your existing equipment, decode the supplied CAN frames and HEX command tables, update internal parameters, and transmit the required status frames back over the bus. I have experience with ESP32/embedded C/C++, byte-level protocol parsing, hardware communication, and real-time firmware. I can implement the CAN receive/transmit layer, correct byte ordering and bit-field extraction, scaling and decimal conversion, range checking, and low-latency status reporting. I will keep the firmware non-blocking and structured for continuous operation, with CAN error handling and serial diagnostics. I will also provide a clear CAN mapping table showing CAN ID, byte/bit position, decoded parameter, scaling, and units. For validation, I can use your PCAN tracer logs to cross-check the ESP32 decoded values and transmitted frames. The firmware will be targeted to meet the 20 ms response requirement and will be structured for the requested 8-hour continuous test. Please provide the CAN command tables, HEX files, bitrate, and a sample PCAN traffic log so I can verify the protocol before implementing the final parser.

Hi, I have strong hands-on experience developing low-latency CAN-Bus communication drivers and telemetry systems using ESP32 (TWAI peripheral) and microcontrollers in C/C++. Here is my implementation plan for your bench setup: • Hex & Bitfield Parsing: Efficiently decode incoming CAN frames from your command tables into engineering/decimal units using bitmasking, bitshifts, and lightweight lookup structures without blocking tasks. • Bidirectional Low-Latency Control: Implement real-time status frame transmission responding well within your 20ms timing constraint. • Robust Error & Out-of-Range Handling: Add validation layers to catch malformed payloads or out-of-bounds parameters and log them cleanly to the serial console. • Architecture & Compatibility: Develop the firmware compatible with ESP-IDF 5.x / Arduino-ESP32, keeping execution stable for continuous multi-hour runs without frame drops. • Clear Deliverables: Provide fully commented source code, complete mapping documentation (CAN ID & byte offset cross-check table matching your PCAN tracer), and step-by-step flashing/testing instructions. I am ready to review your CAN command tables and HEX files to get started immediately. Best regards, Elif

Hi there, I reviewed your ESP32 CAN-Bus requirement and the need to decode the existing HEX/bitfield definitions, process the parameters in real time, and transmit the required status frames back on the bus. I am an Embedded & IoT Engineer with hands-on experience in ESP32 firmware, C/C++, real-time data processing, communication protocols, and hardware bring-up. I can work with your existing ESP32-CAN board and ESP-IDF 5.x environment to implement the CAN frame handling and protocol logic. I can develop the firmware to: • Receive and filter CAN frames by ID • Decode bytes/bitfields according to your command tables • Convert raw values into meaningful parameters • Maintain the decoded values internally • Generate and transmit the required status frames • Detect and report out-of-range values • Provide a clear CAN ID/byte/bit → parameter mapping table • Include build instructions and test logs Since you already have the HEX files, CAN command tables and PCAN tracer, I can use the actual bus traffic to verify the implementation rather than assuming the frame structure. Please share the CAN command tables and sample captured frames so I can review the protocol and start the firmware implementation. Best regards, SAI RAM CHIMPIRI Embedded & IoT Engineer
