I have a C# project that autodetects a serial port, connects to it and then turns on a led. The software monitors the battery percentage and displays it in a progress bar. The led is turned on when the min battery percentage is reached and off when the max battery percentage is reached. The problem I am having is a race condition that turns on/off the led, when a usb device is connected/disconnected. I need someone to fix this race condition and make sure that the led is not turned off and back on again, when a usb device is connected/disconnected.

Greetings, First of all, I highly suspect it is a racing condition as racing happens when both conditions can be executed in parallel ( you already know that C# code runs in series unless you create parallel tasks). I would like to check your code to see the cause of it. As a fast remedy you may need to put battery margin instead of definite value so that minor drop won't cause LED to turn on again. If it sounds rational, I'd be happy to assist you. Thanks and have a great day
