Simulate the behaviour of a synchroscope using Labview . The simulation should include a three
phase bus system with variable voltage , phase and frequency and a generator with variable
voltage and frequency which can be adjusted on the front panel of the labview program. Only a
single phase of the bus and the generator need be connected to the synchroscope.
The behaviour of the simulation should be such that when the generator is operating at the same
frequency as the bus the pointer of the synchro scope will be at 12 o clock . When the generator is
at a higher frequency than the bus the pointer should move in the clock wise direction at a speed
relative to the differences in frequency.
When the voltages waveforms of the generator and the bus are in phase the synchroscope needle
should be in the 12 o clock position – otherwise the needle will point in the direction and
magnitude of the phase difference
