I will provide different codes which I need examined for the execution times and memory usage of three pieces of assembler code running on a simulated ARM Cortex-M3 processor. You will also be required to make changes to the assembler code in order to try to improve performance. Use μVision simulator if possible. You should then make at least two changes to each of the three pieces of source code with the aim of shortening execution time or reducing memory usage (or both) when run on the ARM Cortex-M3 processor. Describe why you expect your changes will improve performance and then carefully analyze the effects the changes actually had on the execution time and memory usage. Note that it doesn’t matter if the changes you thought would improve performance did not have the desired effect, as long as you try to understand and explain what actually did happen. the 3 codes are a factorial calculation, block copying of data and filtering of data. There is a scatter file provided which should be used for all projects and I can attach an example paper What I need: (1) You will need to produce a report in the style of a technical paper (IEEE format) that introduces the context and purpose of the study, describes the experiments you carried out including the code changes you made, presents the results themselves, provides analysis of the results and draws conclusions from the study.
