To SUMMARIZE, for this first project we want an automatic parser via GUI to bring back one initial table. Then we need to be able to do user-friendly searching (using those same fields in the interface, but this time on the table instead of on the URL). We need to be able to save those sub-tables (aka sub-searches) and be able to merge them &/or dedup them as needed. In BRIEF, the initial massive search (the only parse you'll have to do will likely be between 1-2M results, or rows of daa in Access. You'll parse the data into 11 columns in one local Access table, with dups (identified by their having the same ISBN) being automatically deleted. Default table sort is by ISBN. You'll need to add Merge and Dedup buttons and the search fields on the interface, the context menu, and a way to visualize tables that are created from searches we subsequently do on that one massive table the program initially brings back. *** So, the MOCKUP INSTRUCTIONS are as follows: 1. First, like before, we'd enter our search criteria into the fields on the GUI. Then we hit "Go" which runs those criteria thru the search page: [url removed, login to view] 2. Second, you'll parse the listings into one massive Access table (local). 3. We then need the GUI to be able to allow us to do DIFFERENT searches (using the same search criteria fields in the GUI) on THAT one massive Access table LOCALLY, instead of trying to do several separate parsings. The interface should be friendly as far as saving those sub-searches (or "search sets") and being able to merge and/or dedup any of those resultings smaller tables. 4. So, those 2 buttons talked about above ("MERGE" and "DEDUP") on the GUI will allow us to merge and/or dedup smaller tables that come back from our searches of the one iniital, large parsed table (using any combination of the same search fields, circled in green that will be on the UI.
