CanBus Automotive Programmer

Hi, I am looking to finish designing an Automotive CanBus Programming Tool. The hardware writes and reads different files sizes over a network, data log sensors, and allows modification on the fly. Flow Diagram: PC GUI Software>>>>Custom DLL that communicates to Hardware over USB>>>> Hardware connects to the CanBus network This project is about 75% completed. Hardware, embedded code and DLL are completed. I just need to add more features to the DLL and Hardware. Developer will review DLL code and understand how to communicate to the hardware. I will explain verbally upon the interviewing process. Which will give an in depth explanation. The Interviewee must schedule about 30mins to go over the details. A visual understanding will be conducted over team viewer and skype. This position will focus on developing a product specifically with CANbus interface. The position requires a strong understanding of electrical circuits, CAN Bus, K-Line, LIN, and similar message or serial based protocol systems. Primary understanding/responsibilities: • C++ Programming for DLL and High level GUI • C Programming for Embedded hardware. The microcontroller used is a Microchip PIC18. We can port the code to a faster processor if needed. • Automotive CanBus experience • Research the CAN communication relationships between components in the mechanical and electrical vehicle systems. • Write technical documentation about product specifications • Develop product validation and endurance test strategies Position will be full time.
