This should be a simple project for a programmer who can take a spreadsheet (Excel) model and develop a desktop application and then a server side application. Let me describe the background and requirements of this project. Background My clients produce accounts but they pay little attention to the signals that alert them on how their business is performing and what steps they should take to turn the situation around. So, if they had a solution that allows them to take corrective action before it's too late this would really help them. I have developed an Excel spreadsheet model that takes in data from my client's accounts to generate many financial indicators (ratios, graphs and reports). By incorporating accounting and logical / functional formulas (e.g. What If) to displayed data (ratios), in a “dashboard” fashion, ratios and graphs are populated, based on client's accounting data. Before developing the full blown application, I've deceided to develop a much smaller and simplier desktop application. The spreadsheet model is attached. I need an excellent programmer to take my model and develop a desktop application that's compatible with ALL windows platform. This will serve as a working model that I can take to my clients to present financial results and discuss corrective measures for their business. The application will provide financial ratios, graphs and reports. A successful desktop application will pave the way for a server side application with subscription based web site for clients to access, upload their data and see financial results. Hence I'm looking for a programmer who can develop both desktop and server side solution. A successful server side model will pave the way for custom solutions for different business sectors. Hence, it's important that chosen programmer take into account that I'm looking for on going support. This could be to their advantage as my market research reveals that many organisations (including major corporations) have shown interest in my solution and services. A NASA engineer has developed the software shell for the product so the chosen programmer does not have to develop this time consuming and sometimes-difficult interface. All program codes for the shell are already in place, leaving the programmer to concentrate on what the program supposed to do. The desktop model should be compiled in DELPHI program language and have fantastic GUI (this is key). All you have to do is give names to navigation buttons to be inserted on right side of shell. I want to include image that will appear when application is accessed. This is simple to do as it requires changing one file. Summing up – a desktop application that takes in client data and display financial ratios with graphs and reports, by applying functional and accounting formulas, with fantastic GUI is required. Preferred database is SQL. If application is successful, same programmer will be commissioned to develop server side solution, including subscription based web site.
