I currently have a program that is not complete, it is similiar to how a Win Rar SFX archive works. If you create a Win Rar SFX archive you have an option to do an extraction/execution without any dialogs. My program uses these settings by default. You can assign which folder to do the extraction as well.
The program worked fine as stated above. Later I wanted to add additional features, which was to implement windows scheduler. So, I can add an option to how many hours/minutes after for the extraction/execution to occur. Also there was supposed to be an additional feature implemented that uses the "idle" feature in windows scheduler. So, I can add option to extraction/execution occurs after x minutes.
Currently, I have the source files for this program it was coded in Delphi. The windows scheduling initially worked in Win XP but, I don't believe it worked correctly in Win 7/Vista. After an attempt at the latest updates. After I "package" my program using this utility, on the first run it just crashes. I have the crash report in Win 7. I'm having issues communicating with the original coder so we agreed to go our own ways and he would provide the source to me for releasing the escrow.
So this is what I need:
- Fix the crashing issue
- Program should work in Win XP/Vista and Win 7
- Idle feature needs to be implemented or completed
- UAC needs to be bypassed if possible (previous coder was saying crashing was due to UAC but, it was crashing in XP and there is no UAC in XP)
- I would like to add an additional feature if possible - Compression
