I have a client who needs the following:
Non linear, non affine vector space transform approximation in euclidean two dimensional vector space. I have an image processing application where I need to be able to correct some geometric distortions. This distortions can be sufficiently approximated with a simple non linear, non affine transformation. The requirement is to develop under Octave (a GNU clone of Matlab) a parameter estimation.
The input to this parameter estimation is a number of measurement points. The output has to be a parameter set that approximates the transformation function.
