Existing 32bit printer uses the Microsoft Universal Printer Driver (Unidrv) customization files called minidrivers. The minidriver text file is defined in Generic Printer Description (GPD) format. Which defines Paper types (i.e Letter, A4), Orientation (Landscape or portrait), Resolution etc.
Looking for a port of this solution to a 64bit Windows printing solution.
Also included in the project is a porting to 64bit of our port monitor. The port monitor is a user mode dll, which converts the raw Device Independent Bitmap (dib) stream to TIFF file format. It scans the bit stream for the escape sequences to compute the page, line and resolution information and create the TIFF accordingly. The current port monitor supports only the Class F TIFF format. Source for this existing module will be provided. The port monitor already scans for the presence of Terminal services to allow user-context awareness.
The third component of this project is an installation dll update. This dll is used by our product to install a printer and needs to be updated to detect and install this updated driver for 64bit Windows operating systems including XP, Vista, 2008, and 7.
The existing installation routine is able to get the printer name and the out put directory as parameters and setup the printer. It should also do a reference could of the number of time a printer is installed and remove as many times. Source of the existing module will be provided as part of this project.
Adequate testing using our existing software in target 64bit environments is expected.

We are currently working on a similar project and have multiple 64 bit OS's configured for this type of work. Also remember that 64 bit drivers require signing.
