The task is to write code to send an eMail, and to give hints how to configure an Exchange Server so that the mail is sent as it should be.
Code can be written in C# (Visual Studio 2005) or C++ (Visual Studio 6 or 2005). The Exchange server is version 2007 SP1.
The Mails shall be plain text mails, no HTML or formatting. But german Umlauts (seven special german characters) must be encoded in 8Bit ASCII.
The problems that must be met:
- When I tried my old code (CDO in Visual Basic 6), I was forced to submit each single mail because CDO suspected me to write spam somehow. The code must allow automatic mail creation and sending.
- The problem when i programmed it in .NET is: I have no control about the character formatting that is sent in the mail.
[url removed, login to view] just offers me "[url removed, login to view] = strString", and the string of course is UNICODE. The customer receiving the mail tells me that the CRLF signs would be shown as "=0D=0A", I cannot see that because the mails are shown correctly for me when I sent them to myself. So there must be some control over giving the text as bytecode into the mail ... I did not yet find out how to do this together with an Exchange server in .NET.
I have full Admin rights for the Exchange server, but not detail knowledge how to reconfigure it (if needed).
