Development of PC interface for Gaming (“Time for a Game Project”)
- The company supplies gaming PCs for public venues, and is looking for the development of a proprietary interface on Windows platform, replacing Windows interface and consisting of a intuitive, attractive and modular game selection system.
- Key functionalities:
o The system should execute directly upon initiation of PC
 H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\
o The menu should be an I-pod inspired interface, where the titles (pics) of the games move while selecting them sideways. There should be two levels with two game categories, selectable up/down. One category would be for example sports and the other brain teasers
Background should be black
o When selecting a game, the game should run directly after a highlighting effect of the selection
 To be studied possibility of creating macros in certain games to access directly certain screens (e.g. in soccer game, go directly to friendly match selection)
o When exiting the game the system should go directly to the select game interface
o To be studied possibility of having timer system running in the background (and on the screen). This system is linked to a timer that is shown in the bottom right of the screen
o When time runs out, the system should restart.
o When no user activity has been sensed for a certain period of time (1-2 minutes) a video with constantly changing images of the different games installed should be displayed.
o The software has to be developed in order that the administrator can be able to delete and install new games and can have access to game information such as number of times executed.
