We need an application that reads a 3D solid modell and analyse it. This modell will be an (or several) extrusion part with some workings (hole, rectangle hole, slot, tapping, ...) on it. The application must show the part in a openGL window. The application should in the first step automaticall determinate the extrusion and the dimensions and position/direction of the work. Anything that can't be dissected must be analyzed in an interactive way by mouse picking and user input. When everything is analyzed, the data of the works must be written in a xml-file. The open cascade library is the base for the reading of 3D model files and supports with a huge amount of geometrical functions. The user interface should be designed with the newest version of QT. You should have experience in open cascade, QT and C++ programming. The application will first only run under Windows (XP and later seven). The most important 3D files to read are sat-files. IGES, Step and ProEngineer will be the second step. The software should be maintenanced and expanded for the next years and so we looking for a long term cooperation. The first running version (pre release) must be ready end of september 2009.
