MechWarrior style multiplayer game:
Giant fighting robots do combat in an open landscape.
Multi player skirmishes, 4 vs. 4.
Players buy robots with credits (in game currency)
Players buy credits through standard eCommerce tools such as credit cards.
This is a 3D first person shooter multiplayer game where players move robots around a map. The game play is heavy on tactics and skill rather than twitchy arcade moves.
The game play would be comprised of single skirmish events, each lasting 5 - 15 min. The game type would be a 4 vs 4 death match.
The game play would be slow compared to most first person shooters as range and positioning are more important that quick-clicking rushes.
Think tactical tank combat mixed with giant walking robots.
I see this game having a web component (Player Account and eCommerce) and a downloadable client where the players would register for matches and launch the 3d game.
The 3d game engine would not need to be cutting edge virtually any 3d engine would work. Frames per second is more important the high poly count.
A am a software product manager by trade and would provide a full spec. My preferred method of development is agile scrum. I would be personally financing the entire project.
