I need a small application for my iPod Touch (should also work on iPhone).
>>> PLEASE CHECK OUT FIRST THE ATTACHED PICTURE SHOWING THE SIMULATED GUI
Here's the basic principles:
1) I transfer a CSV file towards my iPod Touch in a specific folder that you will define for me
2) I transfer images also towards a specific folder
3) I launch the application
4) The application retrieves the following data from the CSV file (based on respective column headers):
a) the product category
b) the picture address (file path on disk)
c) the product description
d) the product's price
5) I modify the price for this product with the Numeric Keypad
6) I press the "Save" button and the CSV database file is now updated in the "Price" column.
7) The next product is displayed and so on...
1.- When I arrive on a product page, its price retrieved from the CSV database is displayed in the "Price" field. As soon as I start using the Numeric Keypad, I will automatically enter the 'Edit Mode' and the "Price" field is immediately modified with my entry. I need to click on "save" to actually update the database though.
2.- When I click on "Save", the next product is automatically loaded.
3.- As you can see on attached screenshot, there's also a "C" and "Back" buttons. They both work pretty much as on a regular calculator: "C" deletes the entire entered number and replaces it by "0.00", while "Back" is a regular backspace to correct the last number entered (for example, if the number I entered to modify the price is [url removed, login to view], and i press on "back", then the displayed number shall be 4.5")
4.- If I enter "6.3" and press 'Save', the number updated in database shall be [url removed, login to view] (add a zero)
5.- The "$" (dollar sign) is of course not save in database. It is featured in the "Price" field just for display purposes. Therefore just save the number in the CSV database.
6.- There is also a 'next' and 'previous' buttons. They should allow me to browse or skip products. These buttons act indeed also as a cancel/skip button. If I already entered a number with the numeric keypad, but i finally decide i don't want to save the price modification or i did a mistale, i can simply click on the next button and the product will remain unchanged with no price modification. That's why I don't need a 'cancel' button, I can saimply escape a product page anytime thanks to these 2 navigation buttons.
7.- When I arrive at the last product in the database, and press the 'next' button, the first product in database will be displayed. It works 'in circle'. Same thing if I click on previous button while watching the first product in db: it will display the last product in db by browsing the db counterclowise.
8.- All pictures will be in 200x200 pixels dimension
Please don't hesitate to contact me should you have any question. This application shall work on an iPod Touch and also be compatible with all models of iPhones.
Please keep in mind that I don't know anything about programming an iPod Touch or an iPhone. Thus please don't count on me to help you. I'm not even sure if the iPodTouch/iPhone support the CSV database format, how to transfer pictures to this device etc... You will need to guide me on how to make this application work and how/where to transfer the files.
I need this customized application for my work and I will purchase an iPod Touch if you manage to make this work.
A photoshop PSD file will be provided for the graphic elements used in the attached mockup.
Thank you and good luck bidding!
