We are looking to engage a structural engineer for a domestic project that has recently received planning approval. The works include removing an existing column and installing a steel beam in its place, along with the addition of two dormers as part of an attic conversion. We would like you to: Review the approved planning drawings and specifications Confirm the structural adequacy of the proposed beam and associated works Work with our contractor during construction, including site visits as required Issue a Certificate of Compliance on completion of the works Could you please confirm: Your registration status (e.g. Chartered Engineer / Engineers Ireland registration) That you hold current Professional Indemnity Insurance Your availability and indicative fees for this scope of work We can forward the full planning pack and drawings for your review.

I am a Chartered Structural Engineer with current Professional Indemnity Insurance and extensive experience in domestic alterations, including steel beam installations and attic conversions. I will review your approved planning drawings, confirm structural adequacy, liaise with your contractor during construction (including site visits as required), and issue a Certificate of Compliance upon completion. I am available to commence immediately upon receipt of the planning pack. My indicative fee for this scope will be provided after initial drawing review to ensure accuracy and transparency.
