Book Design with Quotes (InDesign) – Proof Copy I’m looking for a top freelancer—Top Rated—to design and format a book structured as follows: half of the book is text/general knowledge, and the other half consists of quotes. Basic book specs • Working file: Word document • Final delivery: fully formatted InDesign book • Trim size: 5.25 × 8 inches • Length: approx. 400 pages with five images • Paper: cream paper • Printing: black Design style Modern, elegant, and rather minimalist—clean, clearly structured, and highly readable. Scope Everything must be designed and formatted: page numbers, headers, bullets/lists, body text, headings, table of contents, etc. However, we start with the central “hook” of the book: the quote page, where the quote is paired with its context. This quote page must be designed first, and we will derive the entire book design from it. Project scope This offer applies to one book only (the proof copy). After that, I will be looking for a freelancer to format my entire series in the same design: 45 books in German and 45 in English, each as paperback and hardcover, plus one eBook version for German and one for English. I’ll leave that to you. 3. The Word file you’ll work with. We design the quote page first, and the design of the entire book is derived from that. To be absolutely clear: it is necessary to create a sample first—the quote page. This sample will not be paid upfront; I will not pay for something I cannot use. Once we have a suitable sample, the full project will be started and the sample will be included and paid as part of that order. That is exactly why we do the sample first: I don’t want to start dozens of orders and then cancel them again. Therefore, it is essential to begin with this one-page sample!
