A third party developed a software application for us in the Microsoft Azure environment. Third party says that they uploaded the software and source code to an Azure server (virtual server, which is fully in our control) so that we can 1) operate the platform independently of third party and 2) engage developers to maintain and continue to build out the application.
We are an experienced software company but have no expertise in-house in Azure. We seek a full-stack Azure expert that can discuss with us how 1) dependent we are on the third party to operate the application going forward and 2) whether we have all that we need to take over future development and operation of the application.
We don't need all the details, just a first sense of how much we have, or lack, for independent operation and further development. Contemplated output is a wrap-up meeting with a list or outline of issue areas. We aren't seeking a definitive, actionable plan. Just need to know if we have a lot or a little to work with here.
Need is immediate. Estimate 8 - 16 hours of work. Follow-up development work is a distinct possibility.
