Hello, for a lightweight painted-steel facade frame, I would balance member deflection, connection stiffness and corrosion detailing before optimizing the steel weight. The cladding tolerances and support movements are as important as the member strength. I am a mechanical engineer with civil-engineering education and 12+ years of engineering/manufacturing experience. My portfolio includes a BIPV facade detail package with fixed/sliding mounts, drainage and panel-replacement details, plus fabricated equipment frames. I use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS Mechanical and SAP2000 2025 as appropriate. For $480, I propose the initial design/detail package for one agreed representative facade bay: framing arrangement, member/connection concept, preliminary load and deflection checks, material schedule and DWG/PDF details. The paint specification will address exposure, surface preparation, weld/edge treatment and access for maintenance, coordinated with your coating supplier. One review round is included; target seven working days from complete inputs. Please send the facade dimensions, cladding weight, support positions/substrate, design wind pressures, deflection limits and applicable design standard. I will confirm the full scope before award.
