I am looking for an experienced Indian architect / architectural designer to prepare planning-focused designs for my residential house. This project is time-sensitive. Please bid only if you can strictly meet timelines and communicate proactively. My priority is planning quality, climate response, and long-term comfort, not decorative or trendy visuals. Site Details Location: India (≈ 23° North latitude – near Tropic of Cancer) Plot: Two adjacent plots combined into one single site Shape: Non-uniform rectangular plot with varying width and depth Road: North side South side: Running water harvesting drain (clean, no odour) Entire combined plot to be treated as one integrated site Climate Conditions (Critical Design Input) The design must respond to extreme climatic conditions. Summer: Peak temperatures up to 45°C (≈1 month) Typical summer range 35–38°C Winter: 3 months: 20–28°C 2 months: 9–15°C Prevailing wind directions: Summer: South-West → North-East Winter: North-East → South-West Design should reduce dependence on mechanical cooling using: Orientation Courtyards Shading Cross-ventilation Roof heat-control strategies Design Intent Minimalist, calm, timeless architecture Nature integrated into daily living, not decorative greenery Courtyards, pocket gardens, verandahs preferred Simple forms, low-maintenance materials Planning quality above visual showmanship Functional Requirements Ground Floor Living, dining, kitchen planned for openness and airflow Kitchen connected to a small garden / planter zone One additional studio-type room (flexible, naturally lit) One well-planned common toilet (no attached toilets) Parking for one car, preferably pergola / shaded (not a boxed garage) Courtyard(s) or green pockets visible from daily-use spaces First Floor Primary studio / office-type room (main requirement) Quiet Glare-free natural daylight Comfortable for long working hours Optional sit-out / terrace / green edge Common toilet (no attached toilets) Vaastu Requirement Design must follow Vaastu Shastra Vaastu should be properly studied and applied No forced or compromised planning, but compliance is mandatory Kitchen, toilets, and room placements to respect Vaastu principles Material & Planning Philosophy Climate-appropriate, low-maintenance materials Avoid excessive glass, glossy finishes, or trend-driven elements Prefer shaded openings, recessed windows, chajjas, courtyards Deliverables Ground floor plan (dimensioned) First floor plan (dimensioned) Site plan (parking, greenery, water strategy) 3–4 exterior 3D views 2–3 interior 3D views (planning-focused) Editable files (AutoCAD / Revit / SketchUp) Minimum 3 revision rounds Timeline (Strict & Non-Negotiable) Phase 1 – Concept Planning: 48–72 hours Final plans + 3D views: To be clearly committed in bid ⚠️ If there is any delay, proactive communication is mandatory. Preferred Freelancer Indian freelancers preferred, for local climate understanding and Vaastu familiarity Must be comfortable with voice/call communication if required after hiring (scheduled, need-based) Clear, proactive communication is essential Who Should Bid Architects / designers with actual residential planning experience Comfortable designing for 45°C Indian climates Strong understanding of Vaastu + ventilation balance Can share sample floor plans, not just renders Who Should NOT Bid If you rely on generic or copy-paste layouts If you cannot meet committed timelines If you do not communicate proactively If you plan to outsource without coordination To Be Considered, Your Bid Must Include Brief explanation of your planning approach for extreme heat zones How you integrate Vaastu without compromising climate logic Confirmed timeline for each phase One sample residential floor plan or project Note This house is being designed for long-term living, not short-term visuals. I value clarity, discipline, and planning logic over marketing language.
