Shopify Merchandising Audit Needed

Commercial Merchandising Audit – Shopify Custom Apparel Store (Pre-Launch) Overview We are an Australian custom apparel e-commerce brand preparing for launch. Our Shopify site is approximately 75% complete, including Zakeke product customisation flows. We are looking for a commercially-minded e-commerce merchandiser to conduct a structured review and provide prioritised recommendations before we begin paid traffic. This is not a design task and not a development rebuild. This is a merchandising clarity and commercial optimisation review. Objective Improve: Product page clarity Merchandising hierarchy Template positioning Choice simplification Visual coherence AOV opportunity framing Customisation journey logic The goal is to ensure the store feels clear, intentional, and commercially strong before launch. Scope You will: Audit 10–20 core product pages Review collection structure and merchandising logic Assess how design templates are positioned and sold Evaluate default selections and decision flow Identify areas of cognitive overload Suggest improvements to content framing, imagery and layout Highlight bundling or upsell opportunities You are not required to rebuild pages — only to provide structured recommendations. Deliverable Structured written audit OR detailed Loom walkthrough Clear prioritisation (High / Medium / Low impact) Commercial reasoning behind each recommendation Specific examples where possible Required Experience You must: Have real Shopify merchandising experience Have worked in apparel, print-on-demand or configurable products Understand how merchandising impacts conversion and AOV Think commercially, not just aesthetically Bonus: Experience with Zakeke or similar customisation tools Experience preparing stores for launch To Apply Please include: 2–3 Shopify stores you’ve helped merchandise or refine A short explanation of how merchandising impacts conversion in custom apparel Your fixed-price proposal for a full audit
