We have created a website on the [url removed, login to view] platform and need some help integrating a couple additional features (1. Staff Forum and 2. Staff Directory) that fall outside of the confines of the Doitlive CMS. Doitlive does have a forum module but it is pretty dated and does not meet the client’s expectations.
The website is an intranet which I am unable to show to you until the contract is awarded but we have also built an external site on the same CMS system. It is viewable here [url removed, login to view]
Doitlive is built in older ASP technology and is a pretty robust CMS when using their ITEMS architecture as opposed to DOCS (which we are using). The setup we have is using a MSSQL database
Again the two things we are looking to have built integrated in to the site are
1. Staff Forum
Since the Forum in doitlive is not all that great we are looking at setting up something different. This is the one we had our eye on [url removed, login to view] which was recommended to us by the creator of the doitlive CMS (Matt)
2. Staff Directory
The client uses PeopleSoft and will export a .CSV file from people soft that we will upload in to the CMS and the CMS will read it in to the Staff Directory template. We still need to design and style the template but you can start coding this right away since we have the .CSV file and know the fields we will pull in from it. The CSV file contains about a dozen fields that house such information as (Fname, Lname, Phone, Address, School, Zone Etc.). Things will show in a list format and we want to be able to select the column heading to have things re-sort on that column accordingly.
