We're looking to hire another writer who can contribute to our online fishing magazine website.
The position will start with at least 4 blog posts every month (while we get you into how our editorial calendar works) with much room to grow beyond this if you can deliver consistent quality work. Each blog post will be between 2000 words and up to 10,000 words per post.
Please note that we have very high editorial standards compared to most other blogs. Every post that we publish goes through our strict editorial process where we check all claims and ideas for accuracy. Our readers trust us and we absolutely must ensure the highest quality content.
Our budget is around $100 - $150 per week for 5000 word posts, depending on your experience and what else you can bring to the role(for example, you are a social media influencer or have a large fishing audience/followers we can tap into). So please bid based on delivering 5000 word articles per week.
As mentioned above we will begin with 4 posts a month until you meet the required standards and then increase up to 10 posts a month thereafter.
You'll be assigned topics by the senior editor of the site and given a submission deadline. It's quite likely that in the first couple of weeks there will be a lot of feedback and editing required, but generally once a writer gets into the swing of things, that part should be minimal. We will also listen content suggestions that you feel will be beneficial to the fishing industry.
* Note that we only require our writers to write the content, no web formatting or design is required.
* Most posts will require some research on your part to ensure high quality, accurate and in-depth content.
* Preference will be given to writers that have experience in fishing.
Please provide at least 3 samples of similar unique content you have written and/or published in your application.
Thanks and good luck!
