I am the only regular contributor for Mother Earth News from the Philippines, with a column specifically about Systemic Sustainability. (Efforts at singular sustainability are, by all accounts, unsustainable. It is imperative to reach a point of Systemic Sustainability for such efforts to be effective)
1. What does sustainability means to you.
I have written a book entitled Whole System Sustainable Development that explains my position more fully, but the basic construct regards Systemic Sustainability ... Economic, Environmental and most importantly perhaps, Sociological or Social Sustainability, all working independently and at the same time, for the benefit of the entire system and the requisite symbiotic relationship between the three.
2. What is your engagement in sustainability. e.g. An Initiative,Advocacy campaign,Business venture,Extra Curricular Activity, Project idea etc.
Books, articles, consulting with governments and indigenous tribes in Central America, Vanuatu, Australia, Philippines and numerous West African nations.
3. Describe how your interest and engagement in sustainability pertains in ocean health.
My personal focus in on the Coral Triangle where it passes through the Verde Island Passage in the Philippines and sustainable Community Developments therein.
