Vitreous is a new advertising & development agency situated in the heart of Hollywood. We are a female-run studio dedicated to providing a platform for feminists working within development, marketing and mentoring. We manage clients from the entertainment & creative industries, host events and create content.
This is a freelance position for an accomplished advertising copywriter. The role is temp to perm based in a project by project basis and can either be a remote role or based in our Hollywood studio.
Degree in journalism or advertising
1+ years working in a marketing or advertising agency
A strong portfolio
A familiarity of working within Brand guidelines
An understanding of how to create a strong house style
Possess strong conceptual skills
Demonstrate the ability to write long copy
Demonstrate the ability to write short, sharp headlines for social media advertising
Have strong presentation skills
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
Be proficient with current Creative software
Experience writing compelling copy for advertising, feature articles, brochures, event collateral, Web, email and social networks, video scripts, presentations, direct mail and other marketing materials.
Uses interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Ability to meet with clients and to make oral presentations at meetings to present creative work, provide information or explain the creative process.
Portfolio must display the ability to do work that appeals to diverse audiences and a range of clients, and must be verifiable. Collection of work should include evidence of ability to create strong conceptual ideas in a wide variety of media.
Can translate complex business problems.
Ability to research, collect and organize data and material from diverse sources.
Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines in a timely manner and under a fluctuating workload.
Skill in using a computer for word-processing, e-mail, calendaring, database and online research.
Execute creative concepts that are on strategy across all media channels
Create style sheets and house guidelines for clients
Work with a number of clients across many business types

Partner with creative team and brand managers to evolve and develop brands

Stay ahead of advancements in technology and demonstrate technical competence
Work closely with the project’s Art Director to create a piece that employs effective marketing strategies and meets the client’s objective
Work with Art Director and multiple agency stakeholders to keep the project moving according to schedule
Handle and coordinate the day-to-day copy needs of clients while ensuring internal and external deadlines are met
Assist in writing copy for key strategic campaigns/projects and new business presentations
Partner with Brand team to ensure that the client’s objectives are being met
Vital Tools: Excel, Google Docs, Slack, Trello, iOS
About You: We are looking for a candidate with excellent customer service, copywriting, administration & interpersonal skills. You must be proficient with MS Excel, Word, email, and social media; experience working with Photoshop is an advantage.
