I need a finished “plug-and-play” LoRa solution that lets my laptop drive lighting cues in real time. Here’s what I’m after: The transmitter must appear to my laptop as a USB device, accept data from the lighting program I supply, and broadcast it with virtually no perceptible lag. On the other end, two independent receivers listen, drive an on-board RGB LED, and faithfully reproduce static colours or ¼-beat pulses exactly as the signal dictates. Target range is at least ¼ mile and ideally up to ½ mile in open air with the lowest possible latency—think of the instant response you see in crowd-control wristbands at concerts. I will provide a small web-based test tool so you can bench-verify timing and colour accuracy before shipping. When the prototype arrives I’ll field-test it; once it hits the range/timing marks I plan to place a follow-on order for a larger batch of receivers. Deliverables • 1 USB-powered LoRa transmitter in a ready-to-go, standard desktop enclosure • 2 LoRa receivers in matching standard enclosures, each with an integrated RGB LED and simple power input • Firmware and source files (so future batches can be produced or tweaked) • Basic user guide covering setup, pairing, and any configuration steps Acceptance will be based on: • Reliable operation over ¼–½ mile with no visible lag • Accurate static colour matching and clean ¼-beat pulses • Out-of-box readiness—just plug in and it works If this sounds like a build you can turn around quickly and confidently, I’m ready to move forward.

I can design PCBs using KiCad, Eagle, Altium, and EasyEDA. For the manufacturing process, I can create designs based on active and ongoing parts for a longer design life and select parts from known suppliers such as DigiKey, Mouser, Arrow, etc. In case of testing and design assembly, I can have the design ordered and assembled by me. The hardest part of this job is the latency requirement, hitting ¼ mile to ½ mile range with concert wristband response. I will build this with an Arduino Micro on the transmitter, appearing as a USB serial device to your laptop, accepting data from your lighting program. This data feeds a LoRa module, sending it out. The receivers will each have a LoRa module also, connected to an Arduino Nano, driving an on-board RGB LED directly. I will use the RFM95W LoRa modules for their established range and low latency. I pick Arduino Nano for the receiver for simplicity, it's enough to handle the LoRa data and PWM for the RGB LED. I will not be using a separate microcontroller for the LoRa radio on the transmitter. That adds complexity and another potential point of failure and latency. The Arduino Micro has enough processing power. What does "virtually no perceptible lag" mean in milliseconds for the transmitter to receiver data path? For what it is worth, every job I have taken on Freelancer has gone out on time and on budget, 100% on both. If you hand this over, I will have the transmitter sending data over LoRa and at least one receiver displaying static colors within the first day or two.
