Accurate GIS Topographic Map -- 2

I’m preparing an Emergency Action Plan for a college Risk Management / Outdoor Leadership course and I need a single, highly accurate topographic trail map produced with professional GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS or equivalent). The finished map must be digital—delivered as a print-ready PDF and a high-resolution image—because I’ll be submitting it electronically for grading. Scope • Take my trail data, elevation information and any additional inputs I supply and turn them into a clean, easily readable layout. • Contours, scale bar, north arrow and a clear legend are essential so the map can be referenced quickly during an incident. • Key points along the route—landmarks, potential hazards and emergency access locations—must stand out visibly. • All labels, symbology and colour choices should prioritise clarity; this map will be judged on technical accuracy and visual legibility. Deliverables 1. Layered GIS project file (.qgz, .mxd or similar) 2. Final map exported as: • PDF (300 dpi or better, ready for A3 print) • PNG or JPEG (minimum 4000 px on the long edge) Acceptance I’ll verify coordinate accuracy against my GPS points and review the layout for clarity.
