The function of the app is to help the waterproofing sales man of a waterproofing company to do this job more efficient and fast. The app will help them do a fast accurate job serving the customer.
Currently the salesman meets the client, take roof measurements, go to the office type an offer send it to the customers, negotiate to agree to price, negotiate to payment terms, follow up for days with client to convince him or her, once job is confirmed he has to coordinate with projects supervisor, and coordinate with accounts, coordinate with quantity surveyor, and manage payment as the project progresses. We want this long loop to be done electronically with mobility. Our intention is to reduce this management loop and make it fast and more efficient.
The idea is for the salesman to use his phone to take a photo, put measures on it, specify the type of roofing system for the client, put amount and project duration and the client gets all the information of his offer by whaas up or by emails.
First the salesman takes photo of the roof. He enters the measurements of the roof superimposing it on the photo at this stage the app calculates the area of the roof. This will be the initial step of the offer. Second, he will select the roof type or system. This to be chosen form a manure of different materials, such as roofing felt type, type of insulation and so on. Third he will input the amount as per the calculated area of the roof. At this stage the app makes an offer to the client and it forwards it to him as per his choice of receiving means i.e. emails of waas up.
If the client is happy with the offer he send his confirmation by interacting with the app. the client open the app and click on a confirm button. The button generates a code, a unique code to him. This will be as his signature. He then enters this code in the app. the apps notifies the salesman of the confirmation of the job. In the meantime the customer enters his card details for payments.
To our client to give them feelings of security we make them pay in partial payments. The project is divided in stages and as each stage is done payment is given and so on.
For salesman evaluation and sales targets monitoring the details of all offers, and their nature, amounts and dates are kept and stored in the app. from the app this data can be downloaded into the computer for the management purposes.
Once the transaction is released a receipt is sent to the client and a copy is sent to accounts. The sales man will get in his email all of the detail of the transaction.
The app will be used by the Salman, the project coordinator, the accounts and the QS. Between them the each will get the ff:
- They all will get notified of the imitations of the order. The accounts will get the client name, details, job nature and the amount. And subsequently the receipts and the payment transactions.
- The project coordinator will get the details of the project in the form of photos of the roof with dimensions, location, and type of works to be done.
- The salesman the initiator of the deal will get the records and the confirmations details for his records and sales targets.
- The QS will get the job details such as dimensions, nature of job, project size to enable him to make the material quantities and to give the stores to release the materials.
This app is to be integrated in the ERP system which we are working on.
