Senior Backend Developer

I'm looking for a Senior Backend Developer to help us with our project. We currently use Java Microservices in our backend, and we have an existing database. We are specifically looking for someone to help us with API development.

Seeking a senior developer with 5+ years experience, and:

• Experience designing web service contracts, including definition and refinement of API inputs and outputs

• Ability to design, document, and implement proprietary protocols

• Familiarity with issues that may occur during data synchronization issues in a multi-device messaging application session

• Experience defining requirements for data persistence and storage, including database schema design

• Experience leading and guiding a team in the delivery of a software project

• Experience in working with java frameworks Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.

• Experience developing and deploying server-side API's:

◦ Targeting Microservice structure

◦ Using both Websocket and REST protocols to interact with clients

◦ Deploying containerized infrastructure via Kubernetes.

• WebRTC server-side support, including familiarity with:

◦ Signaling servers

◦ STUN and TURN servers

• Intimately familiar with Agile development and DevOps methodologies.

• Familiar with Gitflow source control branching model

• Familiar with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) best practices

We would like this person to also be more technically experienced and have the ability to provide insight on any performance optimization, bug fixes and maintenance we may need.
