a. Strong core Java Experience is Mandatory b. Great to have development experience in Hbase and MapReduce or Knowledge of MapReduce and Hbase and willing to learn c. I will provide detailed requirement on which Interfaces to implement, which classes to extend and which methods to use. d. Also very detailed requirements will be provided e. Prefer someone can work on US timings f. I am looking for one resource starting from next week for 3-5 months. I need weekly 30-40hours/week

I build large-scale data warehouses and then implement data mining/machine learning services on top of them - recommendation / prediction / decision engines / etc. For example - to analyze and predict customer behavior. I use hadoop (including mapreduce) and nosqls (including hbase), mostly apache stuff. I do integrate my own code into it. I started with processing large amounts of data in 2000, at a major mobile telecom here in Bulgaria. I left the company in 2007 to do freelancing. Last year I established a small consulting company. Unfortunately, I'm afraid the lowest possible bid I can do is $20/hour (not including freelancer.com's fee). I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a master degree. I have lots of industry experience in big data area. I worked at IBM, Twitter before. I know how to use hadoop 1.0 or 2.0 to process data. And I also use pig to analyze data. I use oozie to manage data pipeline. I have hands-on experience to use Amazon EMR. I also have lot of experience to use avro both on hadoop and pig. I used cascading and scalding before in case that you don’t use oozie. I think I will be a good fit for this role :)
