iMingle is a chat application on Facebook for virtual parties.
The current client is based on Flash/AS3 and HTML/JS. It runs only on desktops. It is outdated and we want to create a mobile android client for this app.
You can check it at: [login to view URL]
(make sure you run it from a PC desktop and enable Flash in your browser)
Our idea is to use the existing server side, with the existing HTTP-based API (well documented), and just create a simple android mobile client for it. This is a POC (Proof Of Concept) to test the idea of running iMingle on mobile, so we would like to have a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) with just some simple functionality.
The functionality we want is basically:
1. Login w/FB
2. Lobby - show existing chat rooms.
3. Event - display a chat room with YouTube player embedded inside. Allow users to chat with the whole room & send private messages
4. Add Event - create a new chat room
If you have experience with chat applications then this should not be too complicated for you to create.
Attached you can find the basic UI design for the simple client that we want.
Thanks & hope this project will be fun!
