I work for a delivery company and need a mobile app made for Android and IOS to provide the GPS location of drivers on a consistent basis.
The core functionality would simply poll a REST server and receive a status (ACTIVE or NOT ACTIVE) in return. If the returned status is ACTIVE, then the app needs to send the GPS co-ordinates of the device to the server on a regular, configurable, interval. (see attached diagram)
No work will need to be done on the server, only the app needs to be created. Since both IOS and Android apps are needed, using Cordova or some wrapper thereof seems sensible, however I am open to suggestions.
The app does not need to look pretty, it just needs to work.
