I am looking for a freelancer to develop an Android interface for my apartment intercom system. The specific features I want the interface are included below
Design and layout: I do not have a specific design in mind, but I am open to suggestions.
Technology: I have no specific requirements or preferences for the technology to be used, so I am open to any technology that the freelancer recommends.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience in developing Android interfaces and integrating with hardware systems
- Knowledge of remote door unlocking protocols and security measures
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot any potential issues with the interface
- Familiarity with different technology options and ability to recommend the most suitable one for the project.
Entryway Device:
> Android tablet, locked to a specific page or app, able to be unlocked by admin. Tablet will be connected to power and likely hardwired to internet
> Visitor would contact single end user account (10 – 14 per page). Prefer it to dial a phone via readily available software ie Google Meet, but open to using anything.
> Contact accounts labeled by a unit number
> Accounts can be logged into by multiple recipients (app could use same UID/pw for each member of the same residence).
> 1 way Camera from entryway, viewable by resident. Resident sees visitor, visitor does NOT see resident.
> Microphone and speaker
> Ability to create long pulse to unlock security/entry door from app using one of the dial keys.
App:
> App user is not required to be on same network as entryway device
> iOS and Android compatible
> Uses microphone and speaker on the tablet to speak with resident. Resident screen shows camera view.
MUST HAVES:
> Admin ability to create new accounts/change passwords locally/remotely, not OEM or installer function (new tenants/owners)
> Admin remotely for new/change users, messaging, reset fire alarms
> Tablet keypad to allow access. Each resident’s code is unique.
Preferred options:
> Resident can access camera feed at any time without need for buzzer activation
> Can link to building fire alarm system and notify building wide accounts simultaneously (not community wide, though that is OK if it can't be building wide only)
> Admin messages can be sent building wide (not community wide, though that is OK if it can't be building wide only) (maintenance, reminders, news)
> Local keypad or access card/RFID (forgotten phone, mail delivery, dog walker, building maintenance). > > > Temp and permanent visitor access (mail delivery, infrequent contractors, Amazon, etc)
> Motion sensor to trigger lights
> Audio/Video recording capability

> Individual video screens in each residence. These will use mobile devices.
