fixed the crash, the app always shows "no news found.", check the log, found and error message:
[login to view URL] E/QueryUtils: Error response code: 400
The solution is simple too, so there is no direct answer for your. But here are some tips: First of all, you should know what is the HTTP status code, then you should check your request. Such as using browser to open the URL.
Then the Settings part also crashed. Because you forget to add the Activity to the Manifest file.
Finally, you should test your app can work well, and meet all the requirements before next submit.
It seems simply modified from the earthquake. In your app, there are lots of places with "USGS" and "earthquake" words, this is not acceptable. And lots of useless blanklines in your code, maybe you just deleted some code from the earthquake app. The more important thing is, it seems you even don't understand how the codes works. So the code logic are really strange and can't works well of course.
I hope you can write your own code rather than modify from others. Keep going on!
