Hi, real time chat plus an activity feed on an app that already exists. Chat is the easy half. Offline persistence and a feed that loads in under two seconds is where these go wrong. How we'd build it: Firestore for messages with local persistence on, so history survives a restart, typing and read state as small docs on the conversation, not per message. The feed pages a JSON endpoint into Room with Paging 3, so pull to refresh fetches only what changed. MVVM with coroutines, plus a short README.
