About the Product Square Money is building a personal financial operating system for real life. Many people do not truly understand their financial position. Our goal over the next 6–9 months is to: launch to real users collect meaningful feedback improve retention reach the first 1,000 engaged users Role Overview We are looking for a Product Lead who can take ownership of the Square Money product and guide its evolution during the validation phase. This is not a typical product manager role. You will work closely with the founder and act as the owner of the product system, responsible for turning user feedback and analytics into product improvements. You should think like a startup operator, not just a task manager. Responsibilities You will be responsible for: Product Ownership Define and maintain the product roadmap Prioritize features based on user feedback and business goals Ensure the product delivers real value to users User Feedback and Insights Analyze user behavior and usage data Conduct user interviews and gather feedback Translate insights into actionable product improvements Product Iteration Work with Lovable to implement product improvements Improve onboarding and user flows Identify features that increase engagement and retention Analytics and Metrics Set up and monitor product analytics Track key metrics such as: activation retention engagement conversion Strategic Input Provide recommendations to the founder on product direction Identify opportunities to improve product-market fit Success Metrics (KPIs) This role is milestone and performance driven. Success will be evaluated based on measurable outcomes such as: Improvement in user activation rate Improvement in retention metrics Increased feature engagement Clear product roadmap execution Product improvements based on user feedback Example milestone targets may include: successful onboarding optimization improved retention after product changes structured feedback collection from early users Compensation Structure This role is milestone/KPI-based, designed to reward results rather than hours worked. Performance bonuses tied to milestones such as: product improvements shipped measurable retention improvements successful validation milestones This is expected to start as a 3-month contract with potential extension.
