I need an experienced compositing artist to handle paint / prep work on a set of shots currently in post-production. The core of the job is to seamlessly remove unwanted elements, clean plates, and deliver fully integrated comps that hold up in 4K. You are free to use Nuke, After Effects, or any other industry-standard tool—whatever lets you work fastest while still hitting feature-film quality. What I’d like to see in your proposal: • A concise breakdown of your approach to paint and cleanup, including any automated or AI-assisted tools you rely on • An outline of the review cycle you prefer and a realistic turnaround time for first and final passes • Links to previous paint/prep or similar compositing shots that demonstrate invisible cleanup Deliverables: • Final 4K EXR (or DPX) plates, pre-graded, ready for DI • All working files and project scripts, clearly organised so another artist can pick them up if needed I will provide the plates, shot notes, and temp grades as soon as we agree on scope. Depending on the shot requirements, I typically use Nuke and After Effects for paint, wire/object removal, clean plate generation, patch tracking, roto support, and final integration. I also use AI-assisted cleanup tools where appropriate to speed up repetitive prep work while still refining everything manually for feature-quality results. For reviews, I usually prefer: • First pass delivery with notes/watermarked previews • 1–2 review rounds for refinements • Final delivery after approval Turnaround depends on shot complexity and shot count, but I can generally provide first passes quickly once plates and notes are received.
